Iranian-made cement has recently become noticeably cheaper than equivalents on other markets, and Russian companies' interest in importing it has grown. To bring a shipment into Russia, the product must undergo a conformity assessment procedure and obtain a GOST certificate. Once the terms have been agreed between the parties, a power-of-attorney agreement (agency agreement) is concluded, under which the plant grants Universal Partner the right to represent its interests in preparing the documents required for certification and the subsequent import of the product into Russia.
After the agreement is signed, Universal Partner reviews the documentation provided by the plant and assists in refining and translating it into Russian — technical data sheets, test reports, and other supporting documents required for certification.
For each batch of cement, a certification body competent to work with the specific type and grade of product is selected, since testing requirements and conformity assessment methods vary depending on the cement's characteristics.
An inspector is sent to the plant to collect product samples. The samples collected undergo the necessary laboratory tests confirming the product's compliance with GOST technical requirements.
Based on the test results, a GOST conformity certificate is issued in the name of the Russian importing company, allowing the shipment of cement to be brought into Russian territory.
